DRDC Atlantic Scientist Receives NATO Award

John Fawcett, DRDC Atlantic, has been awarded the international Maritime Advanced Research Excellence award (MARE).

The NATO Underwater Research Centre (NURC) selected six recipients for the award, which goes to staff who have made significant and lasting contributions to the Centre's scientific and technical reputation, the Centre's Scientific

Program of work, and/or NATO Operating Forces.
Mr. Fawcett was a research scientist at NURC (then SACLANT) from 1994 to 1998 with the Environmental Modelling Group. According to outgoing NURC Director, Steven Ramberg, John Fawcett and fellow award recipients "…are among the highest achievers at the Centre in its recent history."
