DRDC Atlantic Employee Wins Civilian Personnel Education Support Program Scholarship

On June 15, Mr. Paul Anstey, an employee of DRDC Atlantic, was presented with a Civilian Personnel Education Support Program Scholarship (CPESPS). Mr. Anstey will be attending Nova Scotia Institute of Technology to complete his studies in Mechanical Engineering Technology from September 2009 to June 2010.

The selection committee for CPESPS reviewed fifty-nine eligible applications for the 2009-2010 scholarship program and awarded financial assistance to only seven employees including Mr. Anstey. He will receive a scholarship in the amount of $3531.00 as well as an allowance in lieu of salary.

Mr. Anstey has been employed within the Department of National Defense for 26 years, most recently as a Developmental Mechanical Technologist in Technical Services at DRDC Atlantic.

After completion of his program, Mr. Anstey aspires to become a certified Engineering Technologist within the Mechanical Service Group of DRDC Atlantic.
